8ch Coil Configure Issue During Upgrade

SYSTEM: 1.5T Excite II (Software Version. 11.0M4)

PROBLEM/SYMPTOM

1.The system was 10.0M4, after upgrade to Excite II 11.0M4, 8 channel NV and body can’t scan

2.Error message: The prescribed RF coil do not match coil selected.

TROUBLESHOOTING HISTORY/HINT

1.Remove the 8ch NV and body coil from ‘site coil’, restart software, then add 8ch NV and body from ‘available coil’ to ‘site coil’, restart software, 8ch NV is OK, but the same problem occurred with 8ch body.

2.Test 8ch body at another site (Excite II), scan is OK.

3.LFC for Shanghai PLA 455, still not work

4.Check error log: The prescribed RF coil do not match. Upper coil connect status: 0, Upper coil code: Null, Lower coil connect status: 1, Lower coil code: 7t8jkd98cg58919otdqaft7c0bwilvc8, Rx coil name: 8Ch Body Lower, Rx coil code: 7t8jkd98cg58919otdqaft7c0bwi1vc8

5.Edit 8ch Upper, Lower, and Full FOV coil code ‘7t8jkd98cg58919otdqaft7c0bwi1vc8’ as ‘7t8jkd98cg58919otdqaft7c0bwilvc8’. Restart software, scan is OK!

ROOT CAUSE/SOLUTION

Because the 8ch NV and body coil was not supported in 10.0M4. These two coils’ configure was edited manually in Excite I, the configure has no “coil code”. After upgrade, the restored coil configure may not be identical to 11.0 M4.
